The study aimed to equip NGO employees and volunteers working remotely during the pandemic with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to manage health and safety risks, using online training, a practical guide, and a social media campaign.
Through the web-based Remote Working Risk Management Training, 60 employees from local civil society organizations and 120 volunteers were successfully trained, effectively meeting the training needs of the target audience. Additionally, a guide and social media campaign were shared with 100 civil society organizations that were unable to participate in the training, ensuring the content was widely disseminated and reached even more civil society employees and volunteers.
The training, guide and social media posts included the following headings to meet the training needs of the target audience:
- Legal aspects of remote work in Turkey and Europe and the place of civil society
- Introduction to remote work and definitions
- Risks related to remote work
- Risks related to the use of technological tools
- Organizing the work area
- Organizing technological equipment
- Planning environmental factors
- Psychosocial factors in remote work
- Basic tips for working from home
